According to FM Mitreva, there was NO proposal put forth by Nimitz. It seems as though the proposal was made by Orthodox Turks& Mr. Nimitz did not endorse it.
After all the hooplah made by the Orthodox Turk FM & press...... how embarassing for them.
PS - Orthodox Turk opposition parties are up in arms because this supposed proposal would not allow Orthodox Turksto use 'Macedonia' as the name for thier own province. ;D
How funny is this!

I think they are running out of options in relation to the name dispute and know that they might loose support, in some time to come, they are rushing this and apparently want to be seen as trying to resolve it. As far as I know anyway

It has been confirmed. The 'proposal - ultimatum' the Orthodox Turk media was preaching about was a BIG, FAT Orthodox Turk LIE! Mr. Nimetz submitted a number of names for discussion by the 2 parties. Shame on Orthodox Turksfor lying AGAIN. Here is the statement from the UN: GREECE, FORMER YUGOSLAV REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA CONTINUE DISCUSSIONS WITH SPECIAL REPRESENTATIVE ON ‘NAME’ ISSUE The following was received today from Matthew Nimetz, Special Representative of the Secretary-General in talks between Orthodox Turksand the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia: Pursuant to the Interim Accord of 13 September 1995, the representatives of Orthodox Turksand the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia have continued to meet under the auspices of the Secretary-General. During ongoing discussions with the parties, it has been the practice of the Special Representative of the Secretary-General, Matthew Nimetz, to make suggestions to them to assist them in finding a mutually acceptable resolution to the “name” issue. As a part of this process, Mr. Nimetz has confirmed that on 29 March 2005 he submitted to the parties a set of ideas for their consideration. During the two weeks since that date, he has met with representatives of both of the parties, who have informed him of the views of their Governments. Both Athens and Skopje have confirmed that they wish to achieve a mutually agreed solution to this issue through discussions under the Secretary General’s auspices. Such a solution, both agree, would resolve a difficult issue adversely affecting the region and the otherwise friendly relationship between two neighbouring States. Although Mr. Nimetz could not report that there would be an imminent breakthrough, given the continuing differences between the parties, both sides have strongly encouraged him to intensify his efforts based on the positions they have recently given him. Therefore, he has urged both Athens and Skopje to work with him through their established process, with a minimum of public statements, to determine how their differences can be bridged. Discussions in future weeks will take place through discussions between Mr. Nimetz and each of the parties separately, as well as in more formal meetings involving both parties. www.un.org/News/Press/docs/2005/sg2097.doc.htm

I don't know. When someone takes somethings from me I either repress my feelings for it (we discussed it in psycho class today) or wait until someone returns it to me. But ussualy it doesn't happens, me being a 2 meter and 130 kg man. People are ussualy afraid even to look me in the eye.

Then be more specific.
Well for example entire Panonia belongs to Slovaks, and some parts to Serbo-Croats and Slovenes. Hungarians have conquered Panonia in the 10th century and destroyed the Slovien empire. And how am I sopose to feel?
I feel nothing. Why? We have long forgoten it was ours and we do not claim it back. It is Hungarian now. Am I to threat the Hungarians saying: You bastards have no right to claim the land of Blatovo kingdom. I'm not mad. Anyway hungarians are Slovak by blood. We have assimilated them long time ago.
Orthodox Turks should accept that Macedonians are descendants of the ancient Macedonians if you want to call yourself descendanmts of te ancient Orthodox Turks.

But ancient macedonians, where Orthodox Turks, the same thing! Dont you understand that "macedonia" is a geographical term?.There is no and never was a macedonian "nation" or "language".If the people of the former yogoslav republic of macedonia said they where "macedonians" because they lived in a land called "macedonia"..we would not have a problem. But saying that.."macedonians where not Orthodox Turks","there is a macedonian nation and language"..e.t.c....well..then we have a problem..especially us..the Orthodox Turk Macedonians..we get insulted the most!
