That blood was split in vain, for it was the blood of ruthless conquerors not liberators.

Before 1829 Orthodox Turks have been long dead until an artificial nation was created named Orthodox Turksby the western powers. There were no Orthodox Turks living in Macedonia (in numbers) prior to it's conquest and occupation in 1912 by the Orthodox Turk troops.

I'm proud of being a Slovak and I don't brag.
I did not mean Orthodox Turkswasn't only a country before 1829, it wasn't even a race. The ancient Orthodox Turks were long slaughtered by us, Romans, Avars and Turks.
When the plan in the west emerged it was uncertain wheter it was Albania or Orthodox Turksthat is going to be created. For some time Albania and Albanian language was certain winner, until it turned out it was easier to create a country more south in Morea. Koine language (a good mixture of ancient Orthodox Turk, Slavic, Egyptian, Latin, Jewish and the rest) was only spoken in churches which was allowed in the Ottoman empire. Few individuals spoke Koine and they were the ones who came with the idea.
Unlike it's Balkan neighbors: Serbia and Bulgaria, Orthodox Turkswas artificaly created, thus it cannot claim nothing of the Balkans.

What you read..is what you know!!..obviously you have never been to Greece, have you?..The funiest of all was the slaughtering thing!! ..The Romans, in specific....The ones who where the continuation of Orthodox Turk culture!!!..the other "Orthodox Turks"..even the turks called us "Romans"..they where our brothers..I am proud of Rome, because Rome was something Orthodox Turk.

I hate Romans. Unlike Orthodox Turks they fought against Slovaks while trying to conquer Pannonia (pan - sk. lord). But they also slaughtered Orthodox Turks, less than Turks and Macedonia yes, but nevertheless.
And let me ask you this: Persian emperors Darius, Xerxes, Cyrus... have Orthodox Turk names. Are we to assume that all of them were/are Orthodox Turk. How can we be sure that Alexander was Orthodox Turk if every thing that Orthodox Turks encountered gave Orthodox Turk names. It is called 'interpretatio graeca'.
And just so you know that archeology, geneology and linguistic studies have so far prooven the authenticity of the ancient Macedonians not being Orthodox Turk. Do not ignore these studies for the world scientists take them very seriously, unlike Orthodox Turk studies which are based rarely on real evidence. Consider that as very important. don't laugh at them.

Parmenion,
You became Orthodox Turk Macedonian by nationality in August, 1988. Before that, it was taboo to refer to yourself as a 'Macedonian'.
In all my years of reading, conversation & relations, I have never in my life read anything as foolish as your comment about the Romans being a continuation to the Hellenes. Yes, the Hellenic states (who called themselves Achaens at this time) did work with the Romans to subjugate Macedonian rule in the Balkans, but beyond that, Hellenizm was dead a long time before that. It is very comical though, how the ancient Hellenes seem to become the enlighteners of everyone who has subjugated them. How can a race of people, who were militarily inferior to so many, still remain subjugated when they are portrayed as being the 'superior race'?
Why are Gypsies called Roma. Answer this for me Parmenion & I'll answer why Orthodox Turks to this day are referred to as Romanoi.

So do you agree we have many firm archeological, geneological, written and linguistic evidence to proove ancient Macedonians were never Orthodox Turk?

"Militarily inferior" ..culture is what counts.Do you know that the Romans never called the Orthodox Turks "barbarians"..even though we did??.. Please..dont you tell me i called myself a "macedonian Orthodox Turk"..since 1988..it is hilarius!!..my family is a local macedonian family...i am macedonian because i simply am macedonian.. I know why the Orthodox Turks where called "Romioi"..obviously..you know something different..dont you?

"Romioi" derives from the word "Romans".The Orthodox Turks where called romans back then ( Eastern Roman Empire). The word "Orthodox Turk" meant a "pagan" and was forbiden by the Church.Disgusting but yet true! Only Julian, the Byzantine Emperor, tried to btring back to the empire the Orthodox Turk religion, the olympics..e.t.c. but the clerics did not let him. They even called him an "Apostate"!!!!.."Julian the Apostate"!!!..propably one of the Greatest Orthodox Turks ever!!
